We smell what The Rock is cooking once again.

Dwayne Johnson went viral this morning after allegedly telling the Daily Star that "generation snowflake or, whatever you want to call them, are actually putting us backwards" and that's "not what so many great men and women fought for."

Johnson now says that the quote is completely fabricated. He took to Instagram to clear up the situation.

"I can't believe I have to do this again," he laughed. "I was quite baffled when I woke up this morning."

Settin’ the record straight. The interview never happened. Never said those words. 100% false. If I ever had an issue with someone, a group, community or a generation — I’d seek them out, create dialogue and do my best to understand them. Criticizing ain’t my style. I don’t cast stones and we all get to be who we are. #millies #plurals #boomers #TequilaGeneration

"Settin’ the record straight," the caption reads. "The interview never happened. Never said those words. 100% false. If I ever had an issue with someone, a group, community or a generation — I’d seek them out, create dialogue and do my best to understand them. Criticizing ain’t my style. I don’t cast stones and we all get to be who we are. #millies #plurals #boomers #TequilaGeneration."

So glad he cleared that up! Now I can go watch Jumanji with a clear conscience.

Daily Star, the original source of the interview, is known as a "UK based tabloid style newspaper." While the publisher is known for over-sensationalized headlines, says MediaBiasFactCheck, the source does post real news along with conspiracies and "pseudoscience."

PRIDE has reached out to Daily Star for comment and will update the story as it develops.
