Hot on the heels of producing the RuPaul's Drag Race world tour, Brandon Voss is bringing his wildly popular Voss Events Drag Brunch to Hollywood.
Los Angeles is the sixth city to host the hilarious brunch that features the world’s top drag queens and bottomless cocktails. The fun began in New York City in January of 2015. Originally conceived as an event where Manhattan’s gay glitterati could kick off their heels and let down their hair — and wear balloon hats — Voss Events Drag Brunch became a popular tourist destination. It soon expanded to Miami Beach, Las Vegas and Orlando at Señor Frogs’ locations, where it continues to run every weekend. The New York City show is now at Highline Ballroom and this summer, an additional New York production launched on Fire Island.
“Drag Brunch is more than just drag queens lip syncing onstage,” says Voss from his New York City office. “Our shows center on production numbers and comedy routines.”
Starring in the grand opening Los Angeles show will be RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Laganja Estranja, Gia Gunn, Jasmine Masters, Ongina, and Jessica Wild. Vicky Vox, best known for being the “V” in the drag girl group DWV, will host. Rounding out the Drag Brunch cast will be LA's top female impersonators along with various guest stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race, making special appearances. DJ Rhea Litre will provide the delicious beats.
At Voss Events Drag Brunch, one low price includes food, unlimited cocktails and, of course, the fabulous one-of-a-kind entertainment. The cast performs a revue-style show, opening with a big, choreographed number featuring the entire ensemble. Then each queen gets her moment to shine in a solo performance. The production closes with another ensemble grand-finale performance. Showtimes are 11:30am and 2pm.
