Founded in 1984, AFAN has grown to become the largest and oldest AIDS service organization in Nevada. For four decades, AFAN has been at the forefront of providing comprehensive support, from medical case management to housing assistance, for individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. The Black & White Party, now in its 38th year, has become a hallmark event in Las Vegas, known for its vibrant atmosphere and philanthropic purpose. This year’s party is expected to be the biggest yet, bringing together over 3,000 guests for an evening of entertainment, gourmet cuisine, and immersive experiences.

The event will feature performances by a star-studded lineup, including cast members from “Beyond Brunch” and Chippendales, “Exxcite The Show,” Harrison Barnes, and Skye Dee Miles. Estevan Velasco and Norma Llyaman will host the night, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

A finalist on the first season of the hit singing competition “The Four,” VINCINT has quickly risen to fame with his powerful voice and captivating performances. His debut EP, “The Feeling,” released in 2020, marked the beginning of a promising career, and he has since gone on to perform at major events, including Coachella, and collaborate with artists like Kesha.

“Having VINCINT headline our event is truly special,” Carrillo expressed. “His music resonates with so many, and his presence at the Black & White Party will help us amplify our message of hope and resilience.”

While the Black & White Party is certainly a night of fun, its primary goal remains to raise funds for AFAN’s vital services. All proceeds from the event go directly to supporting programs that provide critical care and assistance to those living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. These programs include medical case management, housing assistance, medication referral, food programs, prevention education, and community outreach.

The U=U Campaign and Community Awareness

This year’s event is presented in collaboration with Clark County’s Love! Live! Undetectable Equals Untransmittable (U=U) campaign, which aims to raise awareness about HIV prevention and the importance of accessible resources. The U=U campaign is based on the scientific consensus that people living with HIV who maintain an undetectable viral load cannot transmit the virus to others.

“Education and awareness are crucial in our fight against HIV/AIDS,” Carrillo explained. “The U=U campaign is a powerful message that highlights the advances in treatment and the importance of regular testing and adherence to medication. We’re proud to partner with Clark County in this effort.”

A Night of Culinary Delights

Guests at the Black & White Party will also be treated to a culinary experience like no other. The event will feature food and beverage pop-ups from some of Las Vegas’s most renowned restaurants, including Mabel’s BBQ, Scotch 80 Prime, Send Noodles, Tim Ho Wan, and Vetri Cucina, among others.
