The QVegas Magazine Archive, launching with the new website, starts with over 5 years of past issues issues, and will eventually make nearly five decades of LGBTQ+ community publishing available in digital form for the first time. It's a flipbook experience that lets you page through complete issues — cover to cover — organized by year from the present day back through every era of the publication's history. Seven Names, One Continuous Thread The publication you're holding has been known by seven names across its history. Vegas Gay Times and Nevada Gay Times in the late 1970s and early 1980s, during the scrappy, brave infancy of LGBTQ+ publishing in Las Vegas. The Bohemian Bugle from 1985, when the publication stabilized into regular, consistent circulation. Bugle from 1993 through 2004, building a loyal readership across a decade of growth. QVegas from 2004 to 2016, a name that announced its identity and its city in three syllables. QLife from 2017 to 2020, when COVID silenced the presses. And QVegas again, reborn and running, first weekly and now bi-weekly, and QVegas Arrivals greeting tourists at the Las Vegas airport. Every name change reflected a moment in the community's evolution. The archive preserves all of them.
