We spotlight the Sin Sity Sisters as they mark 20 years of service and prepare to host their first Las Vegas Conclave, October 8–12. The public highlight, Absolution (October 11 at The Usual Place), blends camp, consent-forward education, and support services—an on-brand mix of celebration and care.
Save the date for the National Coming Out Day Block Party at the Historic Fruit Loop (October 11, 6–11 p.m.), following the district’s designation as a historic landmark. Expect a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by State Sen. Fabian Doñate, performances from the casts of Gipsy and Piranha, DJs, vendors, and on-site rapid HIV testing.
Across town, Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas pours into its 21st annual Oktoberfest season (through November 1), kicked off with the ceremonial first keg by Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom and a slate of weekend celebrity keg tappers. It’s a reminder that tradition thrives when the community shows up—stein in hand.

Programming update: beginning in October, QVegas shifts to a bi-weekly schedule—same coverage, now with a two-week shelf life for each issue. We’re also launching QVegas Arrivals, a tourism-forward edition debuting at Harry Reid International Airport to welcome visitors with must-see shows, dining, nightlife, and resources from the moment they land. Two editions, one mission: inform, celebrate, and connect Southern Nevada’s LGBTQ+ community.
