Las Vegas’ Historic Fruit Loop will glow even brighter on Saturday, Oct. 11, when the National Coming Out Day Block Party runs from 6 p.m. to midnight across Piranha and Gipsy Nightclub. The celebration marks the first block party since the Nevada Legislature recognized the Fruit Loop as a historic LGBTQ+ landmark in May 2025, honoring the district’s decades-long role as a cultural anchor and safe space.
The evening begins with a ceremonial ribbon cutting featuring legislators and community partners. The moment underscores what longtime patrons already know: the Fruit Loop is not just a nightlife destination but a living archive of Las Vegas LGBTQ+ history, where generations have built connection, joy, and safety.
Onstage, the entertainment lineup centers queer excellence. RuPaul’s Drag Race standouts Alexis Mateo, Mirage, and Luxx Noir London headline alongside the casts of Gipsy and Piranha, the Las Vegas Men’s Chorus, and guest DJs and entertainers from across the Strip. Expect high-camp pageantry, powerhouse vocals, and the kind of dance-floor energy that has defined the district for years.
Beyond the stage, Gipsy Nightclub hosts a community resource fair with nonprofit partners, local vendors, and food trucks—turning the Fruit Loop into a full-spectrum festival of culture, services, and support. The addition reinforces the neighborhood’s identity as a place where nightlife and community care coexist, and where coming out is both a personal milestone and a collective affirmation.
Observed annually on Oct. 11 since 1988, National Coming Out Day encourages LGBTQ+ people to live authentically while inviting allies to learn and support. Situating the city’s signature celebration along East Naples Drive between Paradise Road and University Center Drive feels fitting. The Fruit Loop has welcomed generations of locals and visitors, and it continues to evolve with new businesses, inclusive programming, and year-round gatherings that reflect the community’s diversity.
Admission to the block party is free, with RSVPs encouraged at gipsylasvegas.com. Guests must be 21 or older. Whether attending for the first time or returning to a familiar neighborhood, attendees will find a celebration built on visibility, resilience, and joy—qualities that have long defined the Fruit Loop and continue to guide its future.
