This week, Las Vegas adds another jewel to its growing sports crown with the official announcement of the LGBTQ+ Sports Hall of Fame relaunch, hosted by the Sports Equality Foundation. Yet another reason Vegas has become a national powerhouse in professional sports, from the Aces to the Raiders to the Golden Knights.

The announcement is part of the “Stronger Together” LGBTQ+ Sports Forum, a timely gathering of athletes, advocates, and organizers uniting around inclusion in athletics. At a time when anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and legislation—particularly targeting trans athletes—is escalating, the forum and Hall of Fame reassert the community’s rightful place on the field, the court, the rink, and beyond.
