Julia Schiffman is a psychotherapist for the San Diego community, practicing in the Hillcrest area under the supervision of John McConnell, Ph.D. Her focus on individuals, couples, and consenting nonmonogamy-poly relationships stems from her Social Work roots in providing compassionate support to diverse communities. She is more than proud to be serving San Diego under Dr. McConnell's expert guidance and looks to create safe spaces for gender, relationship, and sexually intersectional individuals to feel affirmed and understood.Julia has worked within this population for seven years and has been working with sexual health and wellness related topics and challenges for the past three years. She believes in starting wherever the client, couple, or family unit is and enjoys working with the overlapping identities and orientations we carry into the different parts of our lives.Julia aims to be a visible member of the community where you'll see her volunteering at the San Diego LGBT Center and PRIDE. Julia was an active volunteer for the Lamba Archives and Mama's Kitchen prior to becoming an Associate Clinical Social Worker. She looks forward to continuing to offer her professional services to the community to promote health and wellness in solidarity.
