The 55th annual Chicago Pride Parade — themed 'Free to Be Proud' — is one of the largest Pride parades in the nation, drawing nearly one million spectators along a two-mile route through Northalsted, Uptown, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park. Approximately 15,000 participants across 155 registered entries — floats, performance groups, marching bands, community organizations, businesses, and government officials — march south on Broadway, south on Halsted, east on Belmont, south on Broadway again, and east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. The 2026 Community Grand Marshals are Tracy Baim (co-founder of Windy City Times), Mona Noriega, Evette Cardona, and the Alliance of Illinois Judges. The Puerto Rican Cultural Center leads the parade, highlighting the intersection of heritage, housing, and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
